It is with profound  sadness that the Management and Support staff of Nelson's Funeral Home announce the death of Mr. Alvin Wilson, 53, of 2819 Park Road, Ridgeway, South Carolina.  Mr. Wilson died peacefully at his residence Saturday, March 28, 2015.                    

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 4991 Park Road, Ridgeway, South Carolina .   Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   

Public viewing will be held Friday,  April 3, 2015, 2:00 p.m. until 7:30  p.m. at  the funeral home 270 N. Dogwood Ave. Ridgeway, South Carolina 29130.

Mr. Alvin C. Wilson was born July 30, 1961 to Alizina Wilson and Major Loynes, Jr. of Ridgeway, South Carolina.  He departed to his heavenly home on March 28, 2015 at his residence.

At an early age, Alvin joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Ridgeway, South Carolina.

He attended the Public Schools of Fairfield County and in 1981, he graduated from Winnsboro High School.  He was a former employee of Standard Products Plastics of Winnsboro, South Carolina.  Alvin later became employed with Norfolk Southern Railway and continued working there until his health began to decline.  He really enjoyed working for Norfolk Southern Railway.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 22 ½ years, Tangee L. Wilson; one daughter, Lakesha S. (Roland) Tucker; one son, Alvin Caldwell Wilson, II; his mother, Alizina Wilson; his father, Major Loynes, Jr. all of Ridgeway, South Carolina; four brothers, Wayne  Wilson (Tommy) of Columbia, SC; Michael Wilson of Ridgeway, SC, Floyd (Patricia) Kennedy of Virginia; and Major L. (Tasha) Loynes of Newberry, SC; seven sisters, Debbie Wilson of Stone Mountain, GA, Mary A. Jackson, Janice Loynes, Melissa Loynes (Ron), Sharon R. (Chris) Dean of Virginia, Priscilla (Rev. Ernest) Kinsler of Connecticut, and Rosa Marie Loynes of GA; his mother-in-law, Jackie (Clyde) Foster; one brother-in-law, Albert (Nikiki) Armstrong, Jr.; uncles, Talmon (Lucille) and Elijah (Minnie) Loynes; aunts, Lottie Canty, Loretta (Thomas) Peoples, Maggie (Jessie) Walker, Ella B. (Roland) Harrison, and Lucinda (Larry) Squirewell; a special aunt, Geneva Butler; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and two special friends, Larry Weldon and Roger Cole.

Alvin was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Belton, grandmother, Louvina Wilson, aunt, Arnetta Gripper and sister-in-law, Wendy Wilson.
