Mr. Burnoch Andrew Tucker (affectionately known as “Bernard”) transitioned into eternal rest and glory on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at his residence in Landover Hills, Maryland after a long illness.

He was born on January 25, 1943 in Ridgeway, South Carolina to the late Mr. Leslie Tucker and Mrs. Rachel (Long) Tucker.  At an early age, he joined Rock Hill Baptist Church in Ridgeway, South Carolina. Burnoch is survived by his wife, Mamie; their children, Michelle (Lawrence, Jr.) Herbert of Bowie, Maryland,  Anetra Tucker of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and Bryant (Tenekia) Tucker of Greensboro, North Carolina;  one grandchild, Antonio Tucker of Greensboro, North Carolina;  two brothers, Nathaniel (Rose) Tucker and Herman Tucker of Washington, DC; one sister, Margaret O’Neal of Ridgeway, South Carolina; two aunts, Annie Geiger of Ridgeway, South Carolina and Alberta Chestnut of Bronx, New York; his mother-in-law, David Simpson of Ridgeway, South Carolina; sisters-in-law, Inell S.
