George Tucker

George Tucker, Jr., 71 formerly of Ridgeway, SC  answered God’s call on May 7, 2016 at his home in San Gabriel, California.

George was born on January 2, 1945 to the late George Tucker, Sr. and Thelma Simon Tucker.

A memorial service will be held Friday May 13, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Nelson’s Funeral Home, 270 N. Dogwood Avenue,  Ridgeway, South Carolina.

George served in the United States Navy, was a Deacon of his church, a Los Angeles County deputy, was sole proprietor of Security Guard Firm and the first African-American President of National High-Twelve, all of which he enjoyed.  His service and travel for the Masons of California and International High-Twelve was one of his greatest loves before his health challenges altered his path.   He is survived by one daughter, Tina (Christopher) Lewis; one step-daughter,  Mary;  one granddaughter, Khadijah; one grandson,  Kenyon; one brother Oliver Tucker, six sisters Barbara (Johnny) Roach, Dorothy Bright, Roshelle (Rayfus) Taylor, Annie Belle, LaShern and Linda Tucker, one aunt Martha Ann(Jeff) Lawhorn, one uncle, Andrew (Marilyn) Harris; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, Shirley and Cheryl, son, Angelo De Marco, granddaughter, Katia, sisters, Romelia Brown and Geraldine Tucker.
