Mrs. Isabelle (Florence) Butler Qualls made a peaceful transition on July 5, 2017 surrounded by her family at Palmetto Richland Heart Hospital.

Mrs. Qualls was born on February 21, 1925 in Ridgeway, South Carolina.   She was the tenth of fourteen children, born to the late Mr. Boykin Butler and Mrs. Marie Goins Butler.

Mrs. Qualls was reared in a loving Christian home and attended the Public Schools of Fairfield County.  She accepted Christ at an early age at Rock Hill Baptist Church in Ridgeway, South Carolina.  On April 4, 1943, she joined in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Eddie Qualls, Sr.  After her marriage, she became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ridgeway, South Carolina where she served faithfully on the Missionary and Usher Board Choir until her health began to decline.

Mrs. Qualls loved God, her family and church.   She worked to glorify God in everything she did.  Her favorite saying was “God don’t put no more on you than you can bear.”  Two of Mrs. Qualls favorite songs were “Serving the Lord Got to Pay Off After While” and “Shine on Me.”  To know Mrs. Qualls, was to know the fruit of the spirits.   She exemplified these attributes to her family and friends in her everyday living.

She will forever live in the hearts of her family members who are left to cherish her fond and loving memories.   Those left to celebrate her homegoing are:  four daughters, Mrs. Ophelia Q.
