It is with heartfelt sympathy that the Management ( Jackie & Eddie Nelson),and the Support staff of Nelson's Funeral Home sadly announce the death of Mr. Larry Wood,64,of Lugoff, South Carolina. 

Mr.Wood transitioned into eternity Saturday,April 14, 2018.  

Funeral services for Mr. Wood will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at Sutton Branch Baptist Church, 420 Sutton Branch Road, Lugoff, SC.   Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   Public viewing will be Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the American Cancer Society, 200 Center Point Circle, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29210.

Mr. Larry D. Wood transitioned into eternal life on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the residence of his daughter in Elgin, SC after an extended illness. 

Larry was born in Lugoff, SC to the late Mr. Roscoe “Hoosie” Wood and the late Mrs. Lois Bennett Wood.  He was educated in the Kershaw County Public Schools.   He was employed by BF Goodrich of Elgin, SC, McKittrick Lumber Company of Camden, SC and Walmart Supercenter of Camden, SC. 

Those left to cherish the precious memories, grieve his passing, and celebrate his home going are his children, La’Toya (Antonio) Long of Elgin, SC and Koji (Deserae) Wood of Fort Irving, CA; three grandchildren, Azion, Xavier and Kennedy; two sisters, Joyce (Duvoy) Turner and Gloria (Brady) Murphy both of Lugoff, SC; one brother, Kenneth Wood of Ridgeway, SC; two special cousins, Robbie Robinson and Faye Harris of Ridgeway, SC; one uncle, Ernest (Jack) Wood of Lugoff, SC; two aunts, Mabel Wood Graham of East Stroudsburg, PA and Hannah Roberts of Columbia, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving neighbors.
