The Management and Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home announce the death of Mr. Linder Jerome Belton, 64, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.
Mr.Belton transitioned into eternity Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Belton will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2092 Longtown Road, Ridgeway, SC. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Public viewing will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Mr. Linder Jerome Belton was called home Wednesday, March 28, 2018. He was born September 10, 1953 to Mrs. Louise Belton and the late Mr. John Belton, Sr. of Ridgeway, SC.
Zeek, as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Public Schools of Fairfield County. He enjoyed fishing and cutting wood. Zeek was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and he loved spending his free time with family and friends.
Zeek was employed with the South Carolina Department of Transportation and he retired after 28 years of service. He also worked part-time at the Fairfield County Recycling Center.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Yvonne C. Belton of Salisbury, NC; stepson, Phillip Jackson of Columbia, SC; his mother, Mrs. Louise Belton of Ridgeway, SC; six sisters, Katherlyne (Willie) Robertson, Arthenia Robertson, Melissa Perry all of Ridgeway, SC, Charlene (Thomas) Evans, Lillie (Charles) Evans and Sandra (James) Cammon all of Winnsboro, SC; three brothers, Willie (Peggy) Belton of Ridgeway, SC, Andrew (Yvonne) Belton of Columbia, SC and Thomas (Stephanie) Belton of Great Falls, SC; one sister-in-law, Gloria Belton of Columbia, SC; three aunts, Sara Bush and Aileen Edmunds of Ridgeway, SC and Lizzie Mae Belton of Charlotte, NC; special friends, Teresa Boyd, George Oakhill and Skyla Hart who he loved; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his father, Zeek was preceded in death by one brother, John Belton, Jr. and one sister, Betty Belton.
