Marie (Broome) Collins

The Management and it's Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home, LLC,  sadly announce the death of Mrs. Marie Broome Collins, 92, of Salisbury, North Carolina  formerly of Winnsboro, South Carolina.  

Services will be held on Saturday July 25, 2015 at Providence AME Zion Church, Salisbury NC.  Visitation  will be held at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service which will begin at 2:00 p.m.  

Mrs. Collins earthly remains will be laid to rest Monday, July 27, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at New Hope AME Church Cemetery, New Hope Road,  Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Mrs. Marie Collins, 92, of Beagle Club Rd. passed away Wednesday July 15, 2015, at Genesis Eldercare.  She was born September 30, 1922 in Winnsboro, SC to the late Jim Broome and Luegenia Ellison Broome.

Mrs. Collins, was educated in the Public School System of Fairfield County, SC and retired from Laundry, Dry Cleaning Workers Co. Inc. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in New Jersey.

Mrs. Collins, was preceeded in death by her husband, James Collins, and a nephew whom she raised, Robert Mack.

Mrs. Collins leaves precious and loving memories to her nieces; Shirley (Doug) Holmes, Salisbury, NC; Marie (Joe) Johnson, Columbia, SC; Betty Taylor, Burlington, NJ, nephew; Leroy (Carol) Lee, Burlington, NJ; and a host of other great nieces, great nephews, cousins other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
