The Management and Support Team of Nelson's Funeral Home, LLC  announce the death of Mrs. Mary Lee Harris, 96, of Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Mrs. Harris departed her earthly life Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Palmetto Richland Hospital Columbia, South Carolina.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016, 3:00 p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home Chapel, 270 N. Dogwood Ave. Ridgeway, South Carolina. 

Interment will be held in Fairview A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Mrs. Harris body may be publicly viewed Saturday, June 4, 2016, 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home, LLC.

Mrs. Mary Lee Harris was the daughter of the late Alex Henderson and Caroline Robinson and she was born on March 3, 1920 in Fairfield County.  She was the eldest of ten children.  She peacefully entered into eternal rest Tuesday May 31, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Mrs. Harris was reared and worked on a farm in Fairfield County.  For most of her life, she was a child care provider and cooked in restaurants. She continued working until her health began to fail. 

She leaves to cherish loving memories two daughters, Carrie (Joseph) Robinson of Winnsboro, South Carolina and Rebecca (Gary) Lockett of Charlotte, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Henry Robinson of Winnsboro, South Carolina and Joe Louis (Dorothy) Robinson of Newark, New Jersey; special friends, Willie Jones, Barbara Jones and Willie Mae McCants; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by husband, John Daniel Harris; one daughter, Mozell Hollbrooks; four sisters, Mattie B. Mckinstry, Earlean Mckinstry, Cora Lee Adams, Luegenia Adams; and three brothers, John Albert Robinson, Mozelle Robinson and Charlie Robinson.
