It is with heart felt sympathy that Eddie and Jackie Nelson, and the Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home announce the death of Mr. Alexander Reeves 55, of Ridgeway, South Carolina. 

Mr. Reeves transitioned into eternity Wednesday, July 25, 2018.  

Funeral services for Mr. Reeves will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Zion Canaan Baptist Church, 7820 Farrow Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29203.  Interment will follow in the St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery, 4118 State Hwy 34 E., Ridgeway, South Carolina.   Public viewing will be on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Alexander “Timmy” Reeves was born June 19, 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Inell Kennedy Reeves and the late Hilliard Reeves, Sr., he was the youngest of the family, our baby brother.

Timmy was educated in the Philadelphia school system and worked in his father’s business “Reeves Painting & Brick Pointing.”

Reared in a Christian home, he learned of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through weekly bible study family gatherings at home. Once a week, Dad would gather all eight of us around the dining room table and everybody had to learn a verse from the bible and quote the verse during bible study. Bible study at home was always fun and Dad made sure we paid attention to what he was teaching in the bible. Timmy attended Beulah Baptist Church in Philadelphia with his parents.

Timmy was able to handle the challenges in his life through prayer and the support of his parents and siblings. He moved from Philadelphia to Ridgeway, SC in 2014 and joined Zion Canaan Baptist Church. Timmy enjoyed the peace and quiet of living in Ridgeway, a small country town, home of the Kennedy family ancestors.

Family members remaining on this earth that will continue to praise the name of Jesus and thank God for his transition to Heaven are: his mother, Inell Reeves;  brother, Hilliard (Anna) Reeves, Jr.; sisters, Brenda (Eddie) Wiley, Hilda Reeves, Linda Reeves, Olivia (Lawson) Wallace and Karen Reeves;  nieces, Nikki, Aja, Hillary, Inell (Ben) Anderson, Chanel Corson, Artheis Reeves, Nyeasha Reeves Lewis; nephews,  Jeremy (Jana) Lane, Richard (Kisha) Reeves; great-nephews,  Deveroux, Greg, Quinlin, Jamil, Charles, Deontae, Elijah and Kyren; great-nieces, Kenya, Raven, Marlee, Kinsey, twins Ariel and Demi; aunt, Eva Armstrong;  uncle, Ulysses Gillard “Uncle Dump”; a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Reeves.
