Funeral services for Miss Smith will be held Monday, February 17, 2014, 3:00 p.m. at Rossville A.M.E. Zion Church, 3599 Mtn Gap Road, Richburg, South Carolina.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   Public viewing will be held Sunday, February 16, 2014, 2:00 p.m. - 8:00  p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home.

Ms. Crystal Denise Smith was born in Lancaster, South Carolina on December 19, 1983.  She departed this life on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Winnsboro, South Carolina.  She was the daughter of Cynthia Denise and Johnny Smith, Jr.

Crystal was a graduate of Fairfield Central High School and continued her education at South Carolina State University.   She was employed by Palmetto Health in Columbia, South Carolina.   Crystal (Ciji) loved being around family and friends, but her passion in life was her girls and taking pictures.

She leaves to cherish loving memories her parents, Cynthia D. Smith of Ridgeway, South Carolina and Johnny Smith, Jr. of Winnsboro, South Carolina; two daughters, Ja’Nya Parks and Kennedi Rice of the home; a devoted friend, Denorieo Rice of Winnsboro, South Carolina; four brothers, Jiquavis Smith of Ridgeway, South Carolina, Antonio (Nakisha) Smith of Irmo, South Carolina, Corey (Shonda) Boyd and Justin Boyd of Winnsboro, South Carolina; her grandmother, Mrs. Viola Douglas of Great Falls, South Carolina; her grandfather, Mr. Johnny Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina; eight aunts, Eva Mae (Richard) Durham , Renee Douglas and Felecia Douglas of Great Falls, South Carolina, Angelain (Reverend Eric) Ginyard of Winnsboro, South Carolina, Pamela (Reggie) Miller of Columbia, South Carolina, Andrea M. Smith of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Sharon Swann of Pennsylvania, and Keeya Talavera of Tennessee; three uncles, Randy Smith of Winnsboro, South Carolina, James R. (Darlene) Smith of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and John Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina; four nieces, Ja’Lyah, Jada, London and Katilyn Smith; two nephews, Antonio Smith, Jr. and Tyleek Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary E. Smith and Charlie C. Douglas.
