The Management and Support Staff announce the death of Mrs. Dienna Kaye Wright, 51, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.
Mrs. Wright departed her earthly life October 15, 2018; at Providence Hospital Columbia, South Carolina.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wright will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 275 McNulty Street, Blythewood, SC 29016. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wright will be available for public viewing on Friday, October 20, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Mrs. Dienna Kaye Wright was born May 5, 1967 in Greenville, KY. She departed this earthly life on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Providence Health Hospital in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of Gwendolyn D. Allen and the late Richard L. Allen.
Dienna was educated in the Public Schools of Richland County and she was an honor graduate of Spring Valley High School. After completing high school, Dienna worked for Baptist Medical Center for over 10 years. After her tenure at Baptist Medical Center, she was employed with the American Red Cross and she worked there for 17 years.
To know Dienna was to love her. She loved to travel, help others and serve her community. Dienna was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she loved to sing on the choir; but most of all she loved spending time with her husband and children.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, her loving husband, Barry Wright; six children, Erika Smith, Desirae Smith, Erik Smith, Jr., Donavan Smith, Benjamin Marqui Walker and Ciara Smith (Ben) Grant all of Columbia, SC; her mother, Gwendolyn D. Allen of Columbia, SC; one sister, Kimberly Robinson of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren, Preston Smith, Emory Grant, Donavan Smith, India Davis, KD Davis and Trey Bryant; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Belton; two brothers-in-law, William (Maggie) Chatman, Jr. and Kelvin (Angela) Brown; four sisters-in-law, Carolyn V. Taylor, Carmen (Reginald) Gibson, LaVerne (Marvin) Robertson and Rhonda Hudson; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
