The Management and Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home announce the death of Ms. Doris C. Sanders, 66, of Columbia, South Carolina.  

Ms.Sanders departed her earthly life Saturday, September 30, 2017. 

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, 2:00 p.m., at New Hope AME Church, 141 New Hope Road, Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  

Public viewing will be held Friday, October 6, 2017, 2:30 pm. until 7:00 pm. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Doris Brome Sanders was born in Columbia, SC on August 15, 1951 to the late Myrtle B. Way.   She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at her home.

Doris was educated in the Public Schools of Richland County and she graduated from C. A. Johnson High School in the Class of 1970.  She   was a frequent attendee of both New Ebenezer Baptist Church and New Laurel Street Missionary Baptist Church.  Doris worked in health field for many years.

Those left to cherish precious memories are two daughters, Tamika Sanders of Columbia, SC and Shavon Sanders of Charlotte, NC; their father, Charles Sanders; one granddaughter, Nyla Brookins; one brother, Kenneth Way of Columbia, SC; three nieces, Tacowanda Noble, Serena Gleaton and Lakeisha Johnson; three nephews, Kendrick J. Way, Christopher Samuels, Sr. and Darius Sanders; special cousins, Marie Johnson of Columbia, SC and Rosa Lee Boyd of Winnsboro, SC.; and a host of  other loving relatives and friends who will all miss her dearly.
