To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens, a time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to be plucked up that which is planted.  Ecclesiastes 3:1-2.

On Tuesday morning, April 24, 2018 at Agape Hospice House of Columbia, SC, God saw fit to dispatch his angels during the transitioning of Ms. Linda Diane Nelson as she entered into a peaceful sleep at 9:31 am. It is our belief that Linda was greeted by our fore parents and her father the late, Donald Edward “Buddy Row” Nelson; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents, Robert James “Jadie” Nelson and Josephine Bennett Nelson along with Odisee Murphy and Sallee Benson Murphy awaiting her arrival safely home.

“Nee” as she was affectionately called by her devoted brother, Marcus, was born on August 16, 1969 in Camden, SC to the late Donald E. and A. Paulette Murphy Nelson. As a student, she attended the Public Schools of Kershaw County and was a graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School in Lugoff, SC.

Linda’s religious experience and membership began at Sutton Branch Baptist Church during her youth. Her career began in Albany, GA as a member of the Turner Job Corp. - Wincups, Reynolds BBQ, Camden, SC and tenured at Camden Seafood in Camden, SC.

The late Michael Oliver who transitioned on the April 18, 2018 was the love of Linda’s life. One amazingly precious daughter was born from their eternal love, Ms. Armanti Dontia Nelson.

As this chapter of Linda’s earthly life transitions into eternity, her unforgettable memories shall always remain in the hearts of her loved ones:  her much loved daughter, Armanti Dontia Nelson of the home, her devoted and caring mother, Mrs. A. Paulette M. Nelson of the home; her loyal brother and sister in-law, Mr. Marcus O. and Kimberly Belton Nelson of Ridgeway, SC; six maternal aunts, Ms. Mildred P. Murphy of Lugoff, SC, Mrs. Margaret M. Simpson of Ridgeway, SC, Mrs. Myrtle M. Steele of Lugoff, SC, Mrs. Norma M. McByrde of Ridgeway, SC, Mrs. Debbie M. Mitchell of Lugoff, SC and Ms. Millicent P. Nelson of Columbia, SC; four paternal aunts, Mrs. Dorothy T. Nelson of Lugoff, SC, Mrs. Yvonne N. Ford of New Haven, CT, Mrs. Elizabeth N. Reed of White Plains, NY and Mrs. Miriam N. Nelson of Lugoff, SC; two paternal great-aunts, Mrs. Lillie Belle B. Nelson and Mrs. Katie “Mondell” Bennett both of Camden, SC; one maternal uncle, Mr. Robert E. Murphy of Lugoff, SC; one nephew, Mr. Donald Edward Nelson of Ridgeway, SC; two nieces, Ms. Symira and Brittania Brown both of Ridgeway, SC; one great-niece, Cynita Wallington and one great-nephew, Marcus Wallington both of Ridgeway, SC; and a host of cousins, friends and neighbors who miss her already.  Linda Diane Nelson’s spirit will forever be in our hearts.
