Louise Belton Obituary

It is with profound sadness and sorrow that the Management and Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home, LLC announce the death of Mrs. Louise A. Belton, 88, of Ridgeway, South Carolina. 

Mrs. Belton transitioned into eternity Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Providence Hospital Columbia, South Carolina. 

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 12:00 noon at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2092 Longtown Road  Ridgeway, South Carolina. 

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

Public viewing will be held Monday, April 16, 2018, 2:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

Pastor James Wilson, Sr. will officiate the service.

Mrs. Louise Adams Belton was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Providence Hospital.   She was born November 11, 1929 to the late Samuel and Lillie B. Adams in Ridgeway, SC.   Louise was married to the late John Belton, Sr. 

Louise was educated in the Public Schools of Fairfield County.   She was employed with Craft Farrow State Hospital and Forest Hills Nursing Home as a CNA for 30 years before retiring.

Louise joined Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church at an early age and she enjoyed attending church when she was able.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and listening to Old School Gospel and Old School R & B. Louise served as Secretary on the Harrison Family Reunion Committee for many years. 

Those left to cherish her memories are six daughters, Katherlyne (Willie) Robertson, Arthenia Robertson, Melissa Perry all of Ridgeway, SC, Charlene (Thomas) Evans, Lillie (Charles) Evans and Sandra (James) Cammon all of Winnsboro, SC; three sons, Willie James (Peggy) Belton of Ridgeway, SC, Andrew (Yvonne) Belton of Columbia, SC and Thomas (Stephanie) Belton of Great Falls, SC; two daughters-in-law, Gloria Belton of Columbia, SC and Yvonne Belton of Salisbury, NC; one sister, Aileen Edmunds of Ridgeway, SC; three sisters-in-law, Sarah Bush of Ridgeway, SC, Lizzie Belton of Charlotte, NC, and Dr. Eunice Adams of Bloomington, IN; thirty-seven grandchildren; forty-nine great-grandchildren; twenty great-great-grandchildren; two special grandchildren, Dwayne Belton and Rita Robertson; three special cousins she helped rear, Chanique Belton, Monique Belton and India Glenn Foster.   

In addition to her parents and her husband, Louise was preceded in death by two sons, John Belton, Jr. and Linder Jerome Belton; one daughter, Betty Belton; and five brothers, Dan Adams Walter Adams, Linder Adams, John Q. Adams and Alvin Adams.
