Louise Richmond Obituary

Words are in adequate to express during the lost of a love one, it is with heartfelt sympathy the Eddie & Jackie Nelson, and the Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home announce the death of Mrs. Louise Lawhorn Richmond, 74, of Ridgeway, South Carolina. 

Mrs. Richmond transitioned into eternity Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 23, 2018; 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 330 West 3rd Street,  Ridgeway, South Carolina.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

Public viewing will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018; 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.

Pastor Troy A. Moore will officiate.

Mrs. Louise Lawhorn Richmond was born in Ridgeway, SC on December 10, 1943 to the late Lottie and Louis Lawhorn.  She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Winnsboro, SC. 

Louise attended the Public Schools of Fairfield County and she graduated from Fairfield High School.   After graduating high school, Louise attended college. 

Louise was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ridgeway, SC where she served as an usher, member of the Pulpit Aid Ministry and the missionary auxiliaries.  Louise also traveled frequently with the Senior Choir to other churches in the community. 

She worked as a spooler at Uniroyal and she retired after 46 years of dedicated service.  Louise enjoyed traveling, cooking, entertaining, singing and walking.   If someone did not know her name, they referred to her as the lady that walks all of the time. 

Louise is survived by her husband, Bennie “Dick” Richmond; three daughters, Betty (Don) Canada of Rock Hill, SC, Tisa Goff of Ridgeway, SC and La-Toshia (Marcus) Milton of Blythewood, SC; two sisters, Eloise James and Patricia (Curtis) Simpson; grandchildren, Tia Canada, Christopher Goff, Kaylei Goff, Quavez Daniel, Katiya Daniel; four brothers-in-law, Robert Richmond, Clifton (Plumie) Richmond, Emanuel (Karen) Richmond, and Henry (Christine) Richmond; five sisters-in-law, Gloria R. (Nathaniel) Hill, Lottie R. (Haskell) Kennedy, Helen R. Grier, Debra R. Gibson and Dildra Richmond; a special cousin that was raised in the home with her, John “JC” Oliver; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Jimmie Lawhorn.
