It is with deepest sympathy that Eddie & Jackie Nelson and the Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home announce the death of Mr. Odell Hudson 73, of Elgin, South Carolina.  

Mr. Hudson departed his earthly life Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Providence Hospital Columbia, South Carolina.  

Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 18, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Fort Clark Baptist Church, 421 Veterans Row, Elgin, South Carolina.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  

Public viewing will be held Friday, August 17, 2018, 2:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Odell Hudson, 73, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  He was born December 12, 1944 to the late Mr. Henry and Catherine Hudson in Elgin, SC.   He was a loving father, brother and granddaddy.

Odell was educated in the Kershaw County Public Schools and he was a member of Fort Clark Baptist Church in Elgin, SC.   He worked primarily in the construction industry until his health began to decline.

He is survived by his only child, Jonathan Odell (Ericka) Williams; four grandchildren, Ebonie, Brayden, Aubriana and Kendrick Williams of Columbia, SC; one sister, Nora Hudson of Stratford, CT; two brothers, Eugene Hudson of Camden, SC and Tyrone (Kate) Hudson of Columbia, SC; a devoted friend, Minnie Cook Williams of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
