Mr. Walter Pearson, Jr.  of 2117 Greenbrier Mossydale Road, Winnsboro, South Carolina died Thursday, August 18, 2011.

Funeral services for Mr. Pearson will be held Monday, August 22, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.  at Shiloh Independent Church,  52 Kelly Miller Road, Winnsboro, South Carolina.   Mr. Pearson's remains will be placed in the church at 2:00 p.m.   Interment will be in the church cemetery.

A time to be born:  
Walter Pearson, Jr. was born December 2, 1948 to the late Walter Pearson, Sr. and Viola Pearson Copeland of Winnsboro, South Carolina.

A time to grow:
Walter was baptized at an early age at County Grove Baptist Church and later in life joined Shiloh Methodist Church.  He received his education in the Fairfield County Schools.  Walter retired as a truck driver from Hardaway Concrete after twenty three years of service.

A time to love:
Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.   He was married to Jeanette Manning Pearson for twenty six years and was blessed with five step children.  His favorite past-time was fishing and watching Nascar Racing on television.

A time to die:
On the morning of Thursday, August 18, 2011, God saw a need to call his child home to rest after a long illness from the Tanglewood Nursing Home in Ridgeway, South Carolina.

A time to mourn:
He leaves to cherish his fond and precious memories his wife Jeanette, five children, Willie (Jackie) Manning, Jr., Randy (Wilma) Manning, Steven (Druecilla) Manning of Winnsboro, South Carolina; and Janet Manning and Sherry Manning of Columbia, South Carolina; four brothers, George Pearson, Sherman (Melanie) Pearson, Michael Pearson, and Kenneth Pearson of Winnsboro, South Carolina; three sisters, Lillie (James) Adams, Brenda Irby and Yvonne Pearson of Winnsboro, South Carolina; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
