The Management and Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home, sadly announce the death of Mrs. Willie Mae Craig, 86, of Winnsboro, South Carolina.  

Mrs.Craig transitioned into eternity Friday, October 27, 2017 at Palmetto Baptist Hospital Columbia, South Carolina. 

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh First Independent Church, 52 Kelly Miller Road Winnsboro, South Carolina.

Interment will follow in New Jerusalem Church Cemetery,1060 Syrup Mill Road, Ridgeway, South Carolina.  

The Rev. Leonard Simmons will officiate the service.

Public viewing will be held Friday, November 2, 2017, 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Willie Mae Craig affectionally known as “Momma” to her family was born to the late Robert and Maggie Anderson on June 10, 1931. She departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Friday October 27, 2017 at Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia, SC. Willie Mae was married to the late John W. Craig for over 50 years. 

Momma attended the Public Schools of Fairfield County. She retired from Tanglewood Healthcare in Ridgeway, SC after many years of service.  She was a member of New Jerusalem where she served as the Mother of the Church. 

Momma’s hobbies included fishing and cooking for the community. She also enjoyed watching her favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives. 

She leaves to cherish fond memories her children,  four daughters,  Betty Able, Rosa (Ernest) Boyd, Linda (James) Brown and Edna (Terry) Seibles; six sons,  Frazier (Cynthia) Craig, Charles Craig, Rodney Craig, Gregory (Tonya) Craig, Dexter Craig and John (Sally) Craig; one daughter-in-law, Daisy Craig; three sisters, Salley Jackson, Rosa Lee (Westly) Young and Maggie Pearson;  one brother, Freddie (Gloria) Anderson; four sisters-in-law, Frances Anderson, Mary Anderson, Lola Anderson and Lula Anderson, who was also a special friend; a dear and close friend, Mary Lee Young; 35 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Anderson and Johnny Craig; one son-in-law, Frank Able; one sister and eight brothers.
