The loss of a loved one is a heart- wrenching experience. We, the management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sadly announce the passing of Mrs. Betty J. Enloe, 91, of Winnsboro, South Carolina. Mrs. Enloe entered eternity Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Mrs. Betty J. Herrington Enloe was born in Hazelhurst, Georgia on November 26, 1932 to the late Harry L. and Viola Hand Herrington She departed this life on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at her residence.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. Betty loved to share her love through God’s creation of nature, flowers, food, and many other ways. She was a member of Stephen Green Baptist Church where she was a member the Allie Mae Mims Sunday School Class. For 48 years, she and her husband, the late J. Bernie Enloe, worked faithfully with the youth of the church. She worked for 26 years at Fairfield Manufacturing.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Richard L. (Patti) Enloe, Sr. of Greenville, SC; grandson, Richard L. Enloe, Jr. of Greenville, SC; one brother, Theron H. (Wynell) Herrington of Baxley, GA; many nieces, nephews, and friends, young and old.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
