Obituary for Mr. Carl Ross (Mr. Abe) Abron Jr.

Mr. Carl Ross (Mr. Abe) Abron Jr., age 73, of Hopkins, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Abron lived a life marked by service, dedication, and quiet strength. His commitment to his country was matched only by his devotion to his family and the many people whose lives he touched.

After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Abron continued to be a steady presence in his community—known for his kindness, his wisdom, and the gentle way he carried himself. He will be remembered as a man of integrity, humility, and unwavering love for those around him.

As his family navigates this life‑changing loss, we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers. May they find comfort in the memories they shared and in the legacy of honor and compassion he leaves behind.

Mr. Abron’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his impact everlasting. 

Mr. Abron is the husband of Mrs. Laurean Bush Abron.   

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2092 Longtown Road, Ridgeway, South Carolina.  Interment will be held Monday, April 13, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery Columbia, South Carolina. 

In lieu of traditional flowers, the family kindly request small dish gardens or small potted plants. Your love and support are deeply appreciated during this time.

Public viewing will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
