Carl Randolph "Randy" Hinnant III, 69, of Whiting, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Waters of Hobart Skilled Nursing Center in Hobart, Indiana.
Randy was born on January 21, 1955, in Ridgeway, South Carolina, the son of Carl Randolph Hinnant Jr. and Laura (Hatch) Hinnant. On July 24, 1994, he married Clara Mauna in Ridgeway, South Carolina. Together, they shared 30 wonderful years of marriage.
Randy worked as a commercial and residential painter and independent contractor. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working with his hands, especially building and repairing furniture and gardening with his wife. A passionate Clemson University football fan, his love for the outdoors was surpassed only by his dedication to his family. Randy always made sure his loved ones felt safe and comfortable as they explored nature together, creating cherished memories while camping, searching for arrowheads, and enjoying the beauty of the Carolina coasts.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife, Clara; children, Ruben Salas, Yvonne Marante-Fisher, and Anthony Salas; grandchildren, Jessica De Paz, Richard Wallace, Daniel Lux, Zackary Baker, Alexis Salas, Anthony Salas, Kiana Salas, Devin Salas, Collin Salas, Nala Salas, Ana Salas; great-grandchildren, Julian Gutierrez, Cecilia Gutierrez, Journey Fisher, Josslyn Fisher, Miguel Garcia, Brooklyn De Paz, Elliott Wallace, Layla De Paz, Elaina Wallace; his brother, Ronald L. Hinnant; sister, Lucy Way; nieces, Amanda Chue and Emily Way; and mother-in-law, Ramona Navarro.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Hessville Bible Church in Hammond, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hebron Colony Ministries, Inc., a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Hohner Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements in Indiana.
A private graveside memorial service will be held on September 28, 2024, in Aimwill Cemetery,Ridgeway, South Carolina. Nelson’s Funeral Home, 270 N. Dogwood Ave. Ridgeway, South Carolina is in charch of local arrangements.
