The management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) of Nelson's Funeral Home sadly announce the passing of Deacon Eskie Dison, 89, of Columbia. He passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, passion, and devotion. 

He was a dedicated deacon at his church. Mr. Dixon served faithfully for many years, touching countless lives with his unwavering belief and love for the word of God.

Outside the church, Mr. Dixon was a man of vibrant interests, He had a lifelong love for car racing, never missing an opportunity to experience the thrill of the track.  Equally passionate about wrestling, he enjoyed watching matches with family and friends. 

His greatest joy, however, came from listening to and sharing the Word of God.

Mr. Dixon's earthly remains were cremated, a memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Fort Clark Baptist Church, 421 Veterans Row, Elgin, South Carolina.   Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
