We are privileged to serve those who desire our services during their time of need.  We take the safety and health of your family very seriously.  We always strive to exceed the expectations for every family and will continue to do so during these challenging days ahead. We want to ensure you; we are taking extra precautions in our facility by sanitizing it daily. We need your help, COVID-19 is sweeping the nation and requiring our immediate attention and adjustments in the way we manage our services.  Please be considerate and help us as we try to keep our families, staff and facility safe.
 

With mixed emotions and broken hearts, the management (Eddie and Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sorrowfully announce passing of Deacon Paul L. Wood 85, of Columbia, South Carolina.

Deacon Wood's earthly life journey ended Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
 

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Zion Canaan Baptist Church, 7820 Farrow Road, Columbia, South Carolina.  Interment will follow in Sutton Branch Baptist Church, 420 Sutton Branch Rd., Lugoff, South Carolina.

A public walk thru viewing will be held Monday, August 15, 2022, 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Deacon Wood's remains will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service for public viewing.
