Subject: COVID-19 Safety Plan- Putting Families First
We are privileged to serve those who desire our services during their time of need.  We take the safety and health of your family very seriously.  We always strive to exceed the expectations for every family, and will continue to do so during these challenging days ahead. We want to ensure you; we are taking extra precautions in our facility by sanitizing it daily. We need your help, COVID-19 is sweeping the nation and requiring our immediate attention and adjustments in the way we manage our services.  Please be considerate and help us as we try to keep our families, staff and facility safe.

It is with profound sorrow that the management (Eddie and Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sadly announce passing of Mrs. Denise Prioleau, 65, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.   

Mrs. Prioleau's earthly remains were cremated.  There will be no memorial service.

Mrs. Denise Brooks Prioleau was born July 19, 1957 in Alexandria, VA to the late Theodore Roosevelt Brown and Ruby Brooks in Alexandria, VA.  She departed this life on Friday, September 30, 2022 at her residence.  

Denise was educated in the public schools of Alexandria, VA and Winnsboro, SC and she graduated from Winnsboro High School in the Class of 1978.    Denise was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Ridgeway, SC and she was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Purity Chapter #145, Ridgeway.

Denise was employed at Tanglewood Healthcare for many years.   She later started her own business, D. P.'s Homecare Service from which she retired in 2001.

Denise is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Willie I. Prioleau; three daughters, Ebony (Lonnie) Thomas, Denerion Walker; and Elyse (Rodney) Walker all of Ridgeway, SC; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven brothers and two sisters, all of Virginia; three special cousins from Alexandria, VA, Van Jarret, Melvina Jarret and Valerie Jarret; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by two brothers and one niece.
