The management (Eddie& Jackie Nelson) sadly announce the passing of Earnest S. "Charlie" Hughes, 59, of Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Mr. Hughes transitioned Thursday, February 6, 2025.  He was a man who never met a stranger, always ready with a warn smile and ready to talk. His love for people was evident in every conversation he had, and his joy for life shone through his singing.

A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Earnest cheered them on with passion, win or lose.  His love for music and conversation brought light to those around him, making friends wherever he went.   

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025, 2:30 p.m. at The United House of prayer for All People, 220 US Highway 321 Bypass Winnsboro, South Carolina.  Mask will be required to enter the service.

Interment will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, South Carolina. 

A public walk though viewing will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home, 270 N. Dogwood, Ave. Ridgeway, SC. 29130.
