We are privileged to serve those who desire our services during their time of need.  We take the safety and health of your family very seriously.  We always strive to exceed the expectations for every family, and will continue to do so during these challenging days ahead. We want to ensure you; we are taking extra precautions in our facility by sanitizing it daily. We need your help, COVID-19 is sweeping the nation and requiring our immediate attention and adjustments in the way we manage our services.  Please be considerate and help us as we try to keep our families, staff and facility safe.  
 
It is with deepest sympathy that Eddie & Jackie Nelson and the Support Staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sadly announce the passing of Mother Essie Lyles, 92, of Columbia, South Carolina. 

Mother Lyles transitioned into eternity Wednesday night, June 17, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. 

Graveside Services will be held Monday, June 22, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Round Top Baptist Church Cemetery, 120 Round Top Ct. Blythewood, South Carolina.

Due to Covid19, for any public viewing (walk thru only) a maximum of (10) individuals will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. Staff members will administer temperature checks.

Public viewing (walk thru only) for Mrs. Lyles will be held Sunday, June 21, 2020, 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
