The management Eddie& Jackie Nelson and the dedicated support staff of Nelson's Funeral Home of Ridgeway, South Carolina are saddened to announce the passing of Mr. James Ashford, 69, of Winnsboro, South Carolina.

James passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026.

James was known for his dedication and service in the law enforcement field, where he worked with honor and integrity.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who know him. 

Funeral Services will be held Friday April 3, 2026, 12:00 noon at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Winnsboro, South Carolina.  Interment will follow in Fairfield Memorial Cemetery, Smallstown Road Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Public viewing will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026, 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
