The loss of a loved one is a heart- wrenching experience. We, the management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sadly announce the passing of Mr. James Daves, 81, of Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Daves transitioned into eternity Monday, January 15, 2024. 

James is survived by his three children, son, David Daves (Hannah Hollingsworth), daughter Stephanie (Scott) McKenzie; son, Michael (Amy) Daves; his grandchildren, Nicole, Roman, Natasha, Cameron, Kalob, Hunter, Ava, and Kyro; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Chase, and Piper. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Tena Daves, and a loving daughter, Kimberly Daves.

Funeral services for Mr. Daves will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, 12:00 noon at Nelson's Funeral Home, 270 N. Dogwood Ave, Ridgeway, SC.   Interment will follow in the Centerville Cemetery in Ridgeway, SC. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
