“Little did we know, the day that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home”.

On behalf of the management (Eddie and Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home, it is with sadness that we extend our sympathy and gratitude to the family of Mr. Joseph W. Kates 72, of Winnsboro, South Carolina. We announce his transitioning out of time into eternity on Friday, April 21, 2023.  Mr. Kates beloved family will miss him dearly.  

A memorial service will be held at the family residence Saturday, May 6, 2023.
