On behalf of the management (Eddie and Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home, we sadly announce the passing of Mr. Joseph Rice, Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina.  Mr. Rice transitioned into eternity Monday, January 19, 2026. 

Funeral services for Mr. Rice will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026, 12:00 noon at New Hope AME Church, 141 New Hope Road, Winnsboro, SC 29180. 

Public viewing will be held Monday, January 26, 2026 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
