The loss of a loved one is a heart- wrenching experience. We, the management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sadly announce the passing of Ms. Judy Russ Lowe, 66, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.  

Judy Russ Lowe, 66, was a resident of lake Wateree, South Carolina and most recently, she was a resident of Pruitt Health Ridgeway, South Carolina.  She passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.  She was born on January 10, 1957 in Shelby, NC to the late M.G. and Pearlie Miller Russ. Judy was the youngest of five children.

Judy is survived by her older sister, Roxie R. Sisk of Lake Wateree, South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews in both North and South Carolina; a life partner of 10 years, Hugh Fort of Lake Wateree, South Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lowe of Belmont, North Carolina; an older sister, Peggy R. Brooks of Hickory, North Carolina; two brothers, Marvin Russ and Vernon Russ of Shelby, North Carolina.

At this time, no plans have been made for a service.
