Mr. Lawrence Edward “Bobby” Boykin was the beloved son of the late Levy R. Boykin and Josephine Drakeford Boykin.
Bobby was educated in the public schools of Kershaw County before proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. After receiving an honorable discharge, he continued a life of service through his work as a plumber, electrician, and caregiver—roles in which he formed lasting bonds and touched countless lives.
He was known for his warm spirit and unwavering devotion to family and friends. Bobby found joy in cooking and sharing healthy recipes, as well as offering thoughtful guidance to those around him. His words of encouragement and his generous heart will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Cherishing his memory are his sisters, Bessie (Joseph) Hudson and Hassie (Ernest) Peterkin; his brother, Rodgers Boykin; his dear niece, Cyglinda Boykin; and he is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by four siblings, Charles Wesley Boykin, Levy R. Boykin, Jr., Willie James “Billy” Boykin, and Joan Quincy Boykin.
Bobby’s legacy of kindness, wisdom, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
