Mae Sanders Obituary

It is with heartfelt sympathy that Eddie & Jackie Nelson and the Support Staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home, LLC sadly announce the death of Mrs. Mae T. Sanders, 72 of Winnsboro, South Carolina.

Ms. Sanders transition into eternity peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, December 2, 2018.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 7, 2018; 12:00 Noon at The United House of Prayer For All People, 220 US Highway 321 Bypass, Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Interment will follow in Fairfield Community Cemetery Winnsboro, South Carolina. 

Elder John Taylor will officiate  the Service.

Public viewing will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018; 2:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. 

The family will be receiving guest at the home of Mike and Belindra Broome (her childhood home)  214 West College Street,  Winnsboro, SC  and  at 1608 Charles Street  Columbia, S.C. from 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm.   We are trying to make it convenient for everyone!  

Ms. Mae “Tink” Sanders was born February 4, 1946 to the late Ethel Bell Sanders-Boone and John Sanders. Mae “Tink” entered into eternal rest at home with her loving family on Sunday, December 2, 2018. 

Mae “Tink” graduated in the Fairfield High Class of 1967 and was employed with Fairfield County. At an early age, she joined The United House of Prayer For All People where she became a faithful member of the Nursing Board. 

Those left to grieve her passing and celebrate her home going are her daughters, Carrie Sanders of Columbia, SC and Jessica (Orlandus) Reynolds of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Jamarion Sanders, Ciondra Craig and O’maur Reynolds; three great-grandchildren, Josiah, Tamia and Ja’Quarie Sanders; two brothers, Ernest “Red” Sanders and Lavern (Brenda) Boone; seven sisters, Margaret Hall, Patricia (Mary) Mobley, Yvette (John) Backstrom, Linda Sanders-Bey (Shakoor), Christine (Theodore) Moore, Thomasina (Bo) Sawyer and Sara Moore; three special nephews, Maurice Hall, Roman and Tarrio Broome; two godsons, Martavious Belton and Markavcus Goodwin; two very loving friends, Joyce Johnson and Ray Spruell; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends. 

In addition to her parents, Mae “Tink” was preceded in death by her grandson, Jasper Sanders and one brother, Willie Frank Sanders.
