We are privileged to serve those who desire our services during their time of need. We take the safety and health of your family very seriously. It is with sadness, that the management, Eddie & Jackie Nelson and the Support Staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sympathetically announce the passing of Mrs. Mamie Lee Huiett, 81, of Cayce, South Carolina.
Mamie L. Huiett a native of Holly Hill, South Carolina and member of the Santee Indian Tribe, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 15, 2020 at PruittHealth in Ridgeway, SC.
She is survived by her son Joey (Cayce) Hutto; daughter, Julie (L. W.) Irick; grandsons, David (Hoang Tran) Bannister, Jr. and Richard Knotts, Jr.; granddaughters, Lisa (Jonathan) Winningham and Angela Stiles, as well as, several great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Church of God of Holly Hill. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and caring for others. She loved her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, Perry and Carine Russell and her son, Richard Knotts.
Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Twilite Manor Assisted Living at 2306 Forrest Street, Cayce, SC 29033 (Phone # 803-794-7561).
