Marion Fetner, III Obituary

The Management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) and the support team sadly announce the passing of Mr. Marion Carlisle Fetner, III, of Winnsboro, SC.  Mr. Fetner, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at MUSC Health Fairfield in Winnsboro, SC.

A celebration of Rion’s life will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Lebanon Presbyterian Church, 8002 Newberry Hwy,  Winnsboro, SC.

Rion was known for his quick wit, kind heart, and the way he lifted the spirits of everyone around him. With his unforgettable sense of humor and joyful spirit, Rion made life brighter for all who knew him. He loved to laugh, to make others laugh, and to live each day with gratitude and happiness.

Rion graduated from Richard Winn Academy in 1991, where he was a proud basketball player. His true passion, however, was found in the simple joys of life—especially fishing and spending time with those he loved most. He cherished his wife deeply and was happiest when by her side.

Rion is survived by his devoted wife, Joye Cameron Fetner; his loving daughter, Kayla Wooten (Travis); his son, Joey Wooten; his grandchildren, Bradley, and Carlie (lovingly named after Rion); his sister, Judy Fetner (Mike) Wilkes; his brother, Daryl “DC” Cloud; and his mother, Beverley Fetner. He was also deeply devoted to his beloved dogs & cat, Jorja, Judah, and Emmy—Jorja being his first love. He was predeceased by his father, Marion Carlisle Fetner, Jr.

Rion’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
