The Management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) and the support team sadly announce the passing of Ms. Mary D. Craft of Hopkins, SC.  

The family will receive friends at a drop-in on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at her daughter's home in Hopkins, South Carolina.

Ms. Mary "Lois" Craft of Hopkins, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC.  She was born in Fairfield County on December 9, 1943.   Lois was the beloved daughter of the late Caughman and Ethel Boulware Smith.

She is survived by her devoted daughter and best friend, April Spires; granddaughters, Hannah Spires and Maggie Spires (Savion); her beloved great-grandson, Bryson, who she affectionately called “Juicy.” Lois found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially watching and delighting in the newest little member of the clan.

She was known for her quick wit, humor, and an uncanny ability to make anyone laugh.  Lois brought light and laughter wherever she went. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lois was the last surviving daughter of her family and she was preceded in death by her cherished sisters, Susie Cameron and Frances S. Mattox — what a joyful reunion they are surely having. In addition to her parents and sister, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Joseph Spires.
