Subject: COVID-19 Safety Plan- Putting Families First
We are privileged to serve those who desire our services during their time of need.  We take the safety and health of your family very seriously.  We always strive to exceed the expectations for every family, and will continue to do so during these challenging days ahead. We want to ensure you; we are taking extra precautions in our facility by sanitizing it daily. We need your help, COVID-19 is sweeping the nation and requiring our immediate attention and adjustments in the way we manage our services.  Please be considerate and help us as we try to keep our families, staff and facility safe.

It is with sympathy that the management (Eddie and Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home announce passing of Mrs. Melba M. Register, 95, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.
 

Mrs. Register’s earthly life journey ended Saturday, November 5, 2022, surrounded by her loving and caring family.  

 

On Saturday, November 5, 2022, at PruittHealth in Ridgeway, SC our family lost a matriarch.   Mrs. Melba M. Register was born on January 15,1927 and was a woman of singular grit and gravity.   May we love each other as she loved each of us.   

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia R. Terry of Ridgeway, SC; one son, Charles (Virginia) Register of Pelion, SC; one son-in-law, Jack Lively of Charlestown, IN; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Register was preceded in death by her husband, B. D. Register; her parents, one son, B. D. Register, Jr.; and two daughters, Melba Jean Register and Donna R. Lively.

The family would like to extend special thanks to PruittHealth, especially all of the nurses and staff on the 3rd floor, and the hospice nurses and staff.
