The management Eddie & Jackie Nelson and the dedicated support staff of Nelson's Funeral Home of Ridgeway sadly announce the passing of Mr. Michael D. Lovell 66, of Ridgeway South Carolina.

Mr. Lovell passed Thursday, May 21, 2026, we solicit your prayers for the family as they navigate through the grieving process. 

Michael Dorm Lovell of Ridgeway SC went to be with his Lord peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Michael was born July 26, 1959 in Denver, Colorado to Charles and Laura Lovell. Michael had a fulfilling career as an arborist and retired from the City of Aurora after many dedicated years.

Michael was a cherished parishioner of Blythewood Seventh Day Adventist Church, and he held his church family close to his heart.

Michael is survived in death by his loving sister, Cheryl Mowery; niece Dawn (Cody) Meyer; great-nephew, Sylas, and great-niece, Peyton; as well as many beloved cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Laura.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Blythewood Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, tithing can be done to Blythewood Seventh Day Adventist Church  in Michael’s name.
