Mr. Michael Ray “Paw Paw” Yox of Ridgeway, South Carolina passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 5, 2023. He was born on December 9, 1962 to Dora Yoxandthe late Richard of Yorktown, Virginia. Michael was a loving father, grandfather, sibling, and friend to all he met. Michael was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served from 1984-87 before being honorably discharged. In his free time, he loved to fish and spend time outdoors on the water. He was a drummer with a deep love of music. He enjoyed spending holidays with his family and being “Paw Paw Claus” for his grandchildren. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to his very special friend, Debbie McCormick and Agape Hospice of South Carolina for their love and care during his final months. We would also like to thank our friends and extended family for their help and support.
