Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 18, 2022, 4:00 p.m. at Washington Street Baptist Church, Winnsboro, South Carolina.  Interment will follow in Fairfield Memorial Cemetery Smallstown Road, Winnsboro, South Carolina.

The Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Nadine Isenhower Sims, age 88, left us while sleeping peacefully, Monday, February 14, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 24, 1933 in Salisbury, N.C. to the late Earl Gwin and Mary Frances Watson Isenhower. She eloped and married, the late Henry Sims, her husband of 63 years in 1952 who preceded her in death.

She was a loving mother to Ernie Sims (Tammy), Judy Branham (Jackie), Teresa Rogers (Wayne) and David Sims.

Nadine was affectionately known as “Mini” to her eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren whom she was so proud of.

Her grandchildren are Corey Sims (Linsey), Jessica Severt (Brett), Eddie Sims (Catie), Brady Branham (Baetti), Brent Branham (Ashley), Eric Branham (Angel), Clay Rogers (Karen) and Brooklyn Mangum (Jason).

She especially loved all her great-grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face and to her heart. They are Bohannon Sims, Emma and Lincoln Severt, Lucy Sims, Harper and Hayden Branham, Sawyer, Morgan Kate and Barrett Branham, Daryl Branham, Sam Rogers, and Elizabeth and Avery Mangum.

Her many nieces and nephews also held a special place in her heart and Nadine was lovingly known as “Aunt May” to many of them.

Nadine was a dedicated Christian mother who first and foremost wanted all her children in church. Her greatest gift was when her family would come to church to celebrate her birthday or Mother’s Day.

She was a faithful servant, loving her Lord, her church, her family and friends. Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and two sisters.

She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Washington Street Baptist Church, PO Box 462, Winnsboro, SC 29180.
