Ms. Paula Elizabeth Woodard, 66, of Columbia, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 4:19 a.m. surrounded by peace and grace. Paula was a devoted sister, beloved family member, and faithful servant of God.   

Paula is the sister of Jackie Woodard Nelson, and sister-in-law of Eddie Nelson, owners of Nelson's Funeral Home of Ridgeway, South Carolina. 

Funeral services for Paula will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church of Columbia, 1609 Zion Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201.  Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbia Cemetery, 9301 Wilson Blvd, Columbia, SC 29203.

The Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025, 7:00 p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home.

Public viewing will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online at zionpilgrimbaptistcolumbia.org or donations can be made to Winthrop University.
