We the management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sadly announce the passing of Rayfus Taylor, 72, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.  Rayfus departed his earthly life Wednesday, October 4, 2023.  Rayfus is the husband of Rochelle Tucker Taylor.

A public viewing will be Sunday, October 8, 2023, 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. only.

We bow in acceptance of the perfection of God's plan to gather Rayfus Bernard Taylor into His merciful arms when he fulfilled his task on this earth.

We who bow and will hold him in our hearts are: his wife, Roshelle Taylor; one son, Rashid (Sharlene) Taylor; his grandchildren, Imani Ann, Raeshon, Jaylin, Kayla, Alexis, and Giovanni; his siblings, Marica, Valeria, Robert (Bettye), Christopher (Bridgette), Kirk (Joyce), five sisters-in-law, Barbara (Johnny), Dorothy, Annie, Lashern, and Linda; two brothers-in-law, Oliver (Angelia) and Rick (Tanya); godchildren, Gwendolynn (Robert), Quintin, Marisa, Temeka; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rayfus was preceded in death by his parents James and Clara Lyles Taylor; in-laws, George and Thelma Simon Tucker, Sr.; and Romelia, Geraldine, George, and James Negron.
