“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

It is with the deepest of sympathy that Eddie & Jackie Nelson and the Support Staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sadly announce the passing of Ms. Sandra Priester,  62, of Columbia, South Carolina.  Ms. Priester transitioned into eternity Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Prisma Health Parkridge in Columbia, South Carolina. 

In times of tears, remember the laughter. In times of sadness, remember the smiles. And in times of loneliness, remember all you shared…

Sandra Priester, age 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Prisma Health Parkridge in Columbia, South Carolina. She was born November 14, 1957 in Brooklyn New York and she was the daughter of the late James Edward Priester and Mary Spellman.  She was a 1975 graduate of Dreher High School and she was employed at Babcock Center for twenty years. Sandra took pride in striving to help people with disabilities to become more productive and independent improving their quality of life.  Sandra truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with family and friends, snacking, she loved travelling, spending time with grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

She is survived by her four children, Nike (Deano) Dasant, Willie Eugene Priester, Crystal Priester, and Korey (Tierra) Priester, all of Columbia, South Carolina; six siblings, Georgette Priester, James (Cynthia) Priester, Theresa (Curtis) Washington, Harold Priester, all of Columbia, Darryl Priester, and Tammy Spellman both of York, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, aunts, uncles;  a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

*** She is also survived by Robert Evans, her significant other, who we love with all our hearts****

A private memorial service releasing red balloons (her favorite color) will be at the family residence.

Family, friends, co-workers, and those whose lives Sandra touched are invited to attend a Loving Memorial Celebration of Life which will be held at a later date.

Your support shown during this difficult time is very much appreciated and is a great comfort to us. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your kind expressions of sympathy shown during the passing of our love one.
