The Management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) sadly announce the passing of Mr. Stanley Carter, Sr., 77, of Ridgeway, South Carolina. Mr. Carter transitioned into eternity peacefully Monday, September 4, 2023 at Ridgeway Manor Healthcare Center. 

Mr. Stanley Dwight “Pete” Carter, Sr. was born in Winnsboro, SC on December 25, 1945 to the late Eli and Pauline Carter.  Stanley loved his family, and he loved his trains and tractors.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy Mae Carter; one son, Stanley Dwight  (Teresa) Carter, Jr.; four grandchildren, Matthew Carter, Megan Criss Jackson, Norman Compton, and Dustin Carter; one sister, Mary Frances Mattox; one brother, Steven Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Elain Carter Count; one son, Christopher Thomas Carter; and two brothers, Lamont Carter and Mitchell Carter.

Graveside memorial services will be held Monday, September 11, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Aimwell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 265 S. Means Street, Ridgeway, SC.
