The loss of a loved one is a heart- wrenching experience. We, the management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) and the support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home sadly announce the passing of Mrs. Tena Elizabeth Daves, 81, of Columbia, South Carolina. Mrs. Daves entered eternity Tuesday, January 2, 2024.  She was the wife of James Daves.  

Tena is survived by her husband, James; her three children, son, Michael  (Amy) Daves; daughter, Stephanie (Scott) McKenzie; and son, David Daves (Hannah Hollingsworth); her grandchildren, Nicole, Roman, Natasha, Cameron, Kaleb, Hunter, and Kiro; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Chase, and Piper.  

She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Kimberly Daves. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Daves will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home, 270 N. Dogwood Ave, Ridgeway, SC.   Interment will follow in the Centerville Cemetery in Ridgeway, SC.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
