Subject: COVID-19 Safety Plan- Putting Families First
We are privileged to serve those who desire our services during their time of need.  We take the safety and health of your family very seriously.  We always strive to exceed the expectations for every family, and will continue to do so during these challenging days ahead. We want to ensure you; we are taking extra precautions in our facility by sanitizing it daily. We need your help, COVID-19 is sweeping the nation and requiring our immediate attention and adjustments in the way we manage our services.  Please be considerate and help us as we try to keep our families, staff and facility safe.

It is with sadness that Eddie & Jackie Nelson and the Support Staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home announce the passing of Mr. Terry Peake, 74, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.   

Terry W. Peake, 74, of Ridgeway, SC, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 24, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.   He was born in Ridgeway, SC and he was the son of the late Shellie Peake and Ethel Branham Peake.  

He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. After his military service, he worked in Quality Control management and retired from AMBAC International.  Terry was an avid golfer. He loved growing fresh, homegrown tomatoes and spending time with his family. 

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy Kelly Peake; his children, Kerry Wallace of Winnsboro, SC and Stephanie Harrell and her husband, Randall, of Ridgeway, SC; grandchildren Brandon (Brenda) Peake of Elgin, SC, Kaitlyn Wallace of Lexington, SC, Dylan Harrell and Ethan Harrell, both of Ridgeway, SC. In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Florence Guin of Rock Hill, SC and Faye Fitton of Tampa, FL; his brother, Ray (Chanie) Peake of West Columbia, SC; and his mother-in-law, Annette Kelly of Ridgeway, SC.  

Terry was preceded in death by his siblings, Eunice, Shellie Jr. (“Son John”), Raymond, Charles, Alton, and his beloved beagle that was always by his side, Rocky.            

Graveside services, conducted by the Reverend Dean Reynolds,  will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021  at 11:00 at the Old Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.            

The family wishes to thank MSA Hospice for their care during Terry’s illness.
