The management (Eddie & Jackie Nelson) sadly announce the passing of Ms. Wilhelmina Kinard, 85, of Columbia, South Carolina. Ms. Kinard passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 15, 2025. 

A dedicated nurse and a lifelong servant at heart, Wilhelmina devoted her life to caring for others. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she never met a stranger. With a warm smile and an open heart, she left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. A devoted Christian, she lived with love, grace, and compassion, always putting others before herself. Whether through her work as a nurse or her everyday interactions, she embodied the true spirit of service.

Wilhelmina was deeply loved by her family.  Her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Baptist Church, 7910 Broad River Road, Irmo, South Carolina.  Interment will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery, 433 Piney Grove Road, Columbia, South Carolina.

A wake will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home, 270 N. Dogwood Ave. Ridgeway, South Carolina.  The family has requested that masks be worn during the wake.
