The Management and Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home  announce the death of Mr. Duray Preston, 73, of 8565 Old Percival Road, Columbia, South Carolina. 

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015, 4:00 p.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home Chapel, 270 N. Dogwood Ave. Ridgeway, South Carolina 29130.

Obituary

Mr. Duray Preston was born December 27, 1941 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Elijah Preston, Sr. and Alberta Richardson Preston.  He departed this earthly life on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Duray was educated in the Public Schools of Richland County and he was employed with Columbia Farms until his retirement.

Duray leaves to cherish his memories two brothers, Elijah (Ethel) Preston and Silas (Ramona) Preston both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Hattie Mae (Tommy) Graham of Tampa Florida and Doretha Lee of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one aunt, Precious Woodard of Columbia, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Duray was preceded in death by one sister, Ethel Robinson and one brother, Roosevelt.
