Jamesetta Gillis

The Management and Support staff of Nelson's Funeral Home, LLC sadly announce the death of Mrs. Jamesetta Gillis, 94, of Ridgeway, South Carolina.  

Graveside services for Mrs. Gillis will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015, 12:00 noon at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery, Highway 34, Ridgeway, South Carolina.  Public viewing will be held Monday, August 31, 2015,  2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Jamesetta Lee Gillis was born June 13, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late James L. Osborne, Sr. and Bernice Steel Osborne. She was married to Clarkston Russell Gillis, Sr.

She retired from the Internal Revenue Service and later relocated to Ridgeway, South Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, LaRon “Fritzy” (Peggy) Gillis of Ridgeway, South Carolina; one sister, Sylvia (Kenneth) Simmons of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Jean Osborne of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Dwayne (Michelle) Parks and LaRon (Ray) Gillis, Jr., both of Missouri; Gina Gillis and Lisa Hicks both of Kansas and Nicole (Bird) Warren of Missouri; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Tanya Gillis-Parks.
