Ora Lee Rush

The Managements and Support Staff of Nelson's Funeral Home, LLC sadly announce the death of Mrs. Ora Lee Rush, 65.  Mrs. Rush died Wednesday, June 10, 2015,  at Pruitt Heath Care of Ridgeway, South Carolina.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 15, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery,  Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Mrs. Ora Lee Rush was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, May 27, 1950 to the late Edward and Simsie Aiken. She was a 1972 graduate of Claflin College and she taught in the Orangeburg Public School System.  She also taught in the New York City Public and Priviate School System until her early retirement due to her disability.

Ora leaves behind to cherish her memories, three sisters, Maggie Snipes of Bronx, New York, Sarah Aiken of Far Rockaway, New York and  Lois A. Mitchell of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, Timothy Aiken of Douglasville, Georgia and Alexander Aiken of Buford, Georgia; two sisters-in-law,  Helga Aiken and Joyce C. Aiken; one brother-in-law, Arthur Bamberg; and a host of neices, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
